We went to the Barnett Ranch in Montgomery for the Farm City Week Festival. The ranch was beautiful and there were so many fun things for the kids to see and experience. Hay bales, pony rides, shirt painting, Wild West show, farm animals, and more. We all had a wonderful time.

Yesterday I turned 45. Thought it might be hard but wasn't at all. I had a great day with my wonderful family. We had donuts for breakfast then went to Lowe's, bowling and pizza, Toys R Us, Family Christian store, and Logan's for supper. Lots of fun and good food. :)

New frying pan for my birthday - love it!
My buddy trying on glasses. His will be brown. He's counting down the days until they come in. :)
Yummy potato soup with crispy Conecuh.
Also got new knives for my birthday. My buddy decided to use one, dropped it and cut his calf. :(

Other than cooking, it's been a very un-laborious Labor Day holiday. We enjoyed grilled burgers, Conecuh, and hot dogs. And most of all...banana pudding. Evan asked for a hot dog and we were shocked when he ate it all. :)

I haven't posted consistently for a while so here are a few pics from the past few weeks.
Sarah Jo hosted a dessert auction/movie night at church to raise money for A21. I made homemade chocolate peanut butter chip cupcakes.
Baby girl thought swinging with a metal pole in her hand was a good idea. :(
My new manicurist. :) We've been pinning her bangs back as they grow out. She said as I took her pic, "I look so different! Do you think they'll recognize me?" :)
I dropped and broke my crock pot, so I got a Ninja to replace it. Boston butt was my first thing to cook in it. Yum!
Don wanted caramel cake for his birthday, so I made a homemade buttermilk cake and caramel glaze. So good! The glaze was my usual frosting made with half the powdered sugar, it was delicious!
Our first Lego Club meeting. The challenge was to build an earthquake/mini-trampoline-proof tower. Daniel built the tallest one in his group to withstand the earthquake! They had a great time. :)
